Membership Types

AVEM has two classes of membership, designated as Member and as Associate Member.

The AVEM Bylaws define a "manufacturer" as a proprietorship, or corporation which:

a) produces vacuum equipment or has equipment produced for it, and
b) sells such equipment under its own name and in the regular course of business.

To be eligible as an Associate Member, an applicant shall be a person, firm or corporation which engages in business in the vacuum equipment industry, but does not qualify as a Member.

Membership Benefits

• Information - The Quarterly Statistical Report provides valuable current sales and information by product category. This report is an important resource to the marketing specialist in AVEM member companies. Topical surveys provide information on specific subjects such as success of advertisements and trade shows, marketing personnel compensation, manufacturers' representatives commission schedules, geographical sales and business outlook. The Quarterly Statistical Report and survey results provide valuable information which is only available to AVEM members.
    
• Education - Seminars and technical articles on the Web site focus on issues relating to the manufacturing of vacuum equipment and supplies, and new challenges facing the vacuum industry.
    
• Networking - AVEM provides a forum for members to meet and share information and ideas.
    
• Publications - The Directory of Members and the Index of Products and Services list AVEM members and their products and services. These are published as convenient reference source for users of vacuum equipment and supplies.
    
• Professional Exposure - Membership in AVEM not only benefits a company directly, but also indicates an interest by the company in expanding their involvement in, and affirming their support for, the long-term future of the vacuum industry.
