For the new millennium HOVAC split off its DRI pump operation into a new company called DRIVAC. Drivac was created so it can now focus even more on the needs of its DRI-pump customers. DRIVAC designs, manufactures and markets oil-free pump packages, pump stations and diaphragm pumps. The majority of our business consists of repeat orders from satisfied customers. We shipped our first oil-free pump package in 1990, and there are now several thousand DRIVAC pump packages in operation at major semiconductor and basic research facilities throughout the world such as NASA, Motorola, Jet Propulsion Labs, M.I.T., National Radio Astronomy Observatory, IBM, Boeing, and many others.

Products, Services and Markets

DRIVAC designs, manufactures and markets oil-free pump packages, pump stations and diaphragm pumps. Our Pump Packages are ideal for the following applications:

• Roughing ion pumped systems: Starting ion pumps in the low 10^-5 Torr range extends cathode life.
• Backing turbomolecular pumps: Since these packages contain no oil, there is no need to vent the turbopump upon system shut down. Also lower backing pressure extends the useful pumping speed of the turbo and results in lower base pressure.
• Roughing cryopumped systems: These packages eliminate the possibility of oil contaminating the cryopump charcoal array while pumping during regeneration.

Our complete customer service, including fast turnaround is one of the many reasons DRIVAC continues to grow. DRIVAC has full pump packages of each model in stock, so the customer will not have problems with down time. DRIVAC and its sales representatives have demo packages for new customers to try out at no obligation.

Oil-Free Vacuum Pump Packages -- our oil-free vacuum pump packages are compact, 35 lb., one-hand portable, air cooled, and provide rapid evacuation of chambers with volumes up to 200 liters. Operation is fully automatic and interlocked, and these packages are not adversely affected by operator error or power failure.

BH2-60HD -- these pump packages provide oil-free pumping from atmospheric pressure to the 10^-5 Torr range.

BH2-200 -- designed for pumping chamber volumes up to 200 liters. Employs 3-stage diaphragm pump and 16 cfm molecular drag pump. Separate control module. Pumps to the10-5 Torr range.

RS-200 Modular Roughing System -- designed for pumping chamber volumes up to 200 liters. A modular oil-free roughing system for user installation. Includes a 16 cfm molecular drag pump, heavy duty diaphragm pump, power supply and pressure switch assembly, and all vacuum fittings and cables. Pumps to the 10^-5 Torr range.

RS-350 Modular Roughing System -- designed for pumping chamber volumes up to 350 liters. A modular oil-free roughing system for user installation. Includes a 16 cfm molecular drag pump, heavy duty scroll pump, power supply and pressure switch assembly, and all vacuum fittings and cables. Pumps to the 10^-5 Torr range.

TURBO-60E -- This Turbo pump package provides reliable oil-free pumping from atmospheric pressure to the 10^-7 Torr range. Operation is fully automatic and interlocked.

H-200 Diaphragm Pump -- The H-200 is a two-stage air-cooled oil-free diaphragm pump. Ultimate pressure is 1.5 Torr, and pumping speed is 2.8 cfm (80 L/min). Inlet is an NW-16 flange. 115V.

H-60 Diaphragm Pump -- The H-60 is a two-stage air-cooled oil-free diaphragm pump. Ultimate pressure is 4 Torr. The H-60 is widely used in the medical research applications such as gel drying and micro centrifuges.

Pump Station -- The Oil-Free Pump Station has a thermocouple vacuum gauge and a 0 - 150 psi gas pressure gauge providing accurate pressure measurements when evacuating and when pressurizing. The Main Valve is one of the few types of metal seal valves that are vacuum tight and can be used at pressures over 100 psi. Ultimate vacuum 10^-5 Torr.
