MDC was founded in 1965
to serve a rapidly expanding vacuum industry and to satisfy the
increasing demand for high quality vacuum components with fast delivery
and reasonable prices. Over the years MDC has expanded its portfolio
acquiring Insulator Seal (ISI), a ceramic to metal bonding company,
Innovent Technologies, a gas and vacuum weldment company. Today MDC is a
leading manufacturer engineered process solutions; in HV & UHV
Vacuum, ceramic-to-metal bonding and gas delivery.
Products include flanges, fittings, valves, roughing hardware, vacuum measurement and motion and manipulation instruments, thin film equipment, a standard line of vacuum chambers, ceramic-to-metal Feedthroughs, Optics as well as Bubblers, analytical carts and Gas Delivery solutions.
MDC’s Vacuum Products business (VP) builds and stocks off-the-shelf vacuum components and can build custom solutions per our customers’ request.

Ceramic Seals business (CS), formerly known as Insulator Seals,
features ISI™ products; the industry’s most comprehensive
line of hermetically sealed electrical, thermal, liquid feedthroughs,
breaks, and optical components for even the most demanding
Ceramic-to-Metal seal applications.
MDC’s
Gas Delivery Products business (GDP) specializes in the design and
manufacture of ultra-high purity gas delivery lines, pallets,
components, and complex systems. Capabilities include clean room
welding of gas lines, vacuum weldments, tube bending. We offer
engineering, manufacturing, and system integration solutions to the
Aerospace, Clean Technology, Medical Device and Semiconductor
industries.
MDC’s
Europe business serves as the local sales and distribution office
for our many customers in Europe.
MDC-Europe stocks parts, provides fast delivery of products,
and enables custom design consultation to Europe, Africa, and the
Middle East.

Our Ceramic Seals
product line is comprised of high and ultrahigh vacuum feedthroughs and
optical viewports. Custom capabilities include the ability to produce
component designs up to a Max Diameter of 11 inches (279mm) - Max Length
of 4 feet (1.3m). Our Sarasota, Florida production facility has 26,000
square feet of manufacturing space and has multiple furnaces capable of
brazing over 1000°C.
MDC’s Gas Delivery
Products are produced at our San Jose, California facility which has
15,000 square feet of manufacturing area, with a 2,200 square foot Class
100 clean room for ultra high purity welding and assembly, an 1,800
square foot Class 10,000 area for assemblies and manual TIG welding, CNC
and manual tube bending, and a machine shop.
