Precision Metal Works Ltd. (PMW) is a world-renowned supplier of aluminum, stainless steel and inconel weldment vacuum chambers and components. We supply the top semi-conductor, thin-film, optics, nuclear, aerospace & defence industry companies and research labs. Operating from a modern facility located near Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, we have served companies in North America, Europe and Asia since 1988. We have also recently added ASME pressure vessels to our product line.
We have in-house capabilities in metal forming, precision machining, precision fabrication, specialized welding, cleaning, blasting, painting, assembly and testing for vacuum systems. Most of our projects are custom designed, manufactured to very tight tolerances and all of them are completed to perfection. Our products are known for their high quality and our craftsmen are known for their talent.
Along with our manufacturing expertise, we offer in house design capabilities. Our engineering department utilizes SolidWorks, CAMWorks, and AutoCAD software programs to design or help you redesign your vacuum chambers for more efficiency. We also have the ability to manufacture chambers in an assortment of shapes.

Our company: PMW is comprised of five main departments:
Engineering – PMW offers in house structural and mechanical design capabilities using ProE, SolidWorks,
CAMWorks, AutoCAD and CADKey software to help you design or re-design your vacuum chambers. Our design team is second to none and with our experience, we generally save our customers time and money – particularly when they utilize our expertise in the early phase of their project.
We work with actual or electronic drawings from Canada, USA, Europe and Asia and manufacture chambers qualified to leak rates of 10–10 Torr. We specialize in large custom chambers in a variety of shapes and sizes.
Fabrication – PMW has a full fabrication department including material preparation equipment and MIG, TIG welding for stainless steel, aluminum and inconel. We have a contaminate free environment for high quality welding.
Machining – PMW has a full CNC machine shop that can manufacture a wide variety of products easily.
Quality Assurance – All incoming and outgoing products are fully inspected using our ISO 9001:2000 quality plan.
Assembly & Testing – PMW's full assembly and testing facility is located in house and we can offer customers completely assembled products in a contaminant free environment.

PMW’s key products are vacuum chambers - we specialize in their design and manufacture. We manufacture medium to large chambers and specialize in complex chambers and design. We enjoy testing our selves and our expertise, and welcome a design or manufacturing challenge. We also design and manufacture large fittings.
