Thermionics was founded in 1958 in Hayward, California as a manufacturer of e-Guns™ and gate valves as well as a provider of specialty coatings and brazing to industry and research. Having grown over the years like the industry it serves, Thermionics Vacuum Products now provides the widest product range of any manufacturer in the industry from simple fittings to complex thin film deposition systems and sample handling systems.

Thermionics offers a broad range of standard components for use in rough to ultra high vacuum environments.
From our small research scale 3kW e-Guns™ to our large production ready 15kW HCR™ sources we are ready for any coating environment or application. We are the only company that makes a ten crucible, 6 emitter e-Gun™ for the co-evaporation of up to six different materials simultaneously.
Our range of XYZ stages, translators, motion feedthroughs and sample platens is one of the broadest in the industry and is well suited for even the most demanding production applications.
