Since its inception in 1964, VAT has focused its attention on vacuum sealing technology. Founded in Switzerland by Mr. Siegfried Schertler, VAT is independently owned, financed and operated. Although our headquarters is nestled among the mountains of eastern Switzerland, VAT is truly global - with subsidiaries in the United States, Japan, Germany, France and Great Britain and representatives in many other countries. All manufacturing operations remain in our ISO 9001 certified facility in Switzerland. We are proud of our outstanding record on long-term commitment to our customers. MONOVAT Single action sealing configuration for elastomer-sealed gate valves -- One moving part, the gate itself, descends in a single linear motion for a superior seal. MONOVAT provides shock-free, particle-free operation and high cycle life for semiconductor applications.
VATLOCK Compact gate valve mechanism -- Pairs of balls are used to spread the gate and counterplate apart and press the gate seal against the seat without scuffing. The mechanism ensures sufficient sealing force, allowing vacuum on either side of the gate. VATLOCK provides dependable isolation of vacuum pumps and chambers, plus low-particle generation and high cycle life.
VATRING All-metal sealing configuration -- The conical seal ring allows for large sealing forces with relatively small closing or axial forces. VATRING allows baking up to 450°C and provides as many as 100,000 cycles until first service. It is ideal for UHV environments.
VATSEAL Metal static seal -- The seal requires only two parallel flat flanges and simple machining. The reliable, easy-to-maintain VATSEAL can be designed in any shape.
VATTERFLY Pivoting plate valve -- The plate swings to the closing position, then pivots to close and lock, with no friction or rubbing on the gate seal. VATTERFLY valves provide a compact, economical alternative to gate valves.
