Varian, Inc.’s Vacuum Technologies began with Varian’s invention in 1957 of the VacIon® pump, a device that revolutionized vacuum technology through fluid-free electronic pumping. Our pioneering work has propelled us to a position of international leadership in vacuum products today, and our products routinely make it possible to perform industrial processes in high vacuum environments. Varian has continually expanded and now includes both technical and manufacturing facilities in Lexington, Massachusetts and Torino, Italy.
Research and development are strongly supported at all Varian plants. Projects leading to system solutions, as well as, product design improvements continue to maintain Varian’s position at the forefront of the industry.
